Live entertainment from talented Michigan artists can be found throughout the event including musicians, street performers, authors, mascots, and more.
Located across from the big clock and Marquis Theatre on Main Street, this popular summer venue will be jumping all weekend long with a lineup of talented entertainers from around Michigan. It is also home to the Michigan Beverage Garden where guests 21 and over may enjoy one of Michigan’s finest craft beers or wines, or water. Proceeds of the Michigan Beverage Garden go to support One Earth Writing, a nonprofit that brings together teens from different races, religions, and socioeconomic origins for writing workshops that build confidence, power and purpose. The Michigan Beverage Garden is open Fri 4PM-10PM; Sat 12PM-10PM; and Sun 12PM-5PM.
This year’s festival also includes a Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, August 4, presented by custom board and bag manufacturer, Mutha Shuckers. The tournament is free and open to up to forty teams. More details about the tournament and registration guidelines can be found here. Representatives from Mutha Shuckers will also be available on site for those interested in purchasing their own custom-designed boards, built in Michigan.
There are so many local authors who have written terrific books for children, teens, and/or adults that we are excited to have several on-hand to do signings during the event this year. We will continue to update this schedule of appearances as new authors join the roster.
Sports memorabilia, Michigan-made products, and unique experiences will be available for bidding during our silent auction. Organizations interested in contributing are asked to email Kathy@BuyMichiganNow.com. It’s an excellent way to gain exposure to our crowd of 30,000+ and to support the work Buy Michigan Now does throughout the year to help maintain and create jobs in our community. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit One Earth Writing. The most current list of auction items will be available at the Information Booth.
North Center Street is home to our Kids Zone and will delight children of all ages with face painting, arts, games, and more.
